It’s that time of year again. I love gifting season and everything that comes with it. And I’ll admit, I’ve loved having the excuse to trawl through websites for weeks, searching for the best gift ideas. Like last year, I’ll be splitting my gift guides up across two posts. Today, you might’ve guessed it, is all about the beauty bits – gift packs, travel sets, introduction kits, the whole thing. This season is always such an incredible time to find limited edition beauties or the perfect little set to try out a new brand, needless to say I’ve had to restrain myself from making plenty of orders already… I already touched on some of my top picks from the holiday release at Mecca, which you can read about here, but I’ve included a couple of them in here too.
Whether your shopping for a friend or for yourself, hopefully there’s something about this bunch that takes your fancy.
Cover FX Perfect Light Mini Highlighting Powder – ~$14 (£8)
A mini, rose gold highlighter? Well, you have me convinced. I’ve been loving the Cover FX highlighter formula lately so you won’t be surprised to hear that I’ve ordered one of these beauties for myself and maybe even one for TBC readers if they keep an eye out at the end of the year…
Real Techniques have come out with super cute baubles filled with mini-sized brushes and sponges – an awesome little stocking stuffer, a great way to try out the range or an awesome idea for your friend that’s about to go travelling.
Soap and Glory bring it every single year with the bath and body gift sets and their scents are to die for. This is my pick of the bunch because I’m a sucker for all things Sugar Crush. If I didn’t already have everything in the pack, you can be sure I’d be adding it to my own cart.
EmmaKisstina Art Prints – $20
I’ve been a long time lover of EmmaKisstina’s beautiful illustrations, and I fangirl a little whenever she draws up illustrations of my photos, but can totally recommend buying one of her prints for a beauty gift that goes a little above and beyond. My favourite designs are the 30 Lipsticks and this Makeup Mess.
Personalisation always takes the gift-giving to another level. And not only do Say It With Polish do incredible customised nail polish, they’ve just branched out to offer the perfect little compact mirrors with your customised saying on the front. Since receiving mine with my name on it, it’s hardly left my handbag.
Beatbag Holographic Makeup Bag* – $29.95
A practical makeup bag that’s also a treat to look at? I’m in. This holographic makeup bag is beautifully made and has so much stuff for your makeup, you can be sure it’s coming to Europe with me. Perfect for the holographic-obsessed.
Moogoo We Herd You Like Natural Skincare Large Set* – $31
I’m a huge fan of everything that Moogoo does so I was excited to see that they had a few Christmas gifts happening, it’s a great way to get a little intro into their range. They also have awesome sets for mums to be, which are worth checking out. I use the code HAPPYSKIN for 15% off whenever I order from them, too!
Each of the three products in this starter kit have become favourites for me, so I highly recommend checking this one out. Becca are renowned for their awesome base products and with decent sample sizes of their two primers, as well as their awesome under eye corrector, this is an awesome place to start.
Mecca Max brought it with their first Christmas gifting season launches, my pick of the bunch is this duo with a mini highlighter and creamy metallic eyeshadow. There’s three shade choices in the range, too, so there’s something for everyone.
Pixi Best Of Bright Kit – ~$35 (£20)
Pixi’s skincare has really grown on me this year so there’s no surprises that this awesome trial set is on my wishlist. With a mini cleanser, acid toner and mud mask, this looks like awesome value for those who want to try out the brand, or travel-sized hoarders like myself.
Origins masks never fail to let me down, so this set of four mini travel-size masks looks awesome to me. There’s something for every skin type in here, and who doesn’t love a good skincare treat?
There’s nothing better than the influx of adorable mini lipsticks at Christmas time. And I’m happy to see that Tarte have jumped on the bandwagon. Bright packaging, beautiful shades and a great formula – perfect for your lipstick loving friend or someone who’s new to the whole bright lip thing.
Pixi Palette Glowette – ~$39 (£22)
This gorgeous little highlighter trio from Pixi also caught my eye, but honestly their whole Christmas collection looks stunning. I’ve enjoyed Pixi’s highlighter formula in the past so I’d hope this would be just the same!
Lush Snow Fairy Set – $39.95
There’s a million and one Lush Christmas sets to choose from, as always, but this is my pick of the bunch – a whole ton of Snow Fairy goodness. You can’t go wrong.
Colourpop Polite AF Super Shock Shadow Kit – ~$40AUD ($30USD)
Colourpop’s gifting this year has really stepped up a notch, this set of six Super Shock Shadows looks seriously awesome and you can’t argue with that price point. Plenty of beautiful, metallic neutrals in here for anyone to enjoy.
Peter Thomas Roth Meet Your Mask Kit – ~$42 (£24)
Another mask set that’s well worth a look. Peter Thomas Roth’s masks are absolutely incredible (my faves are the Pumpkin Enzyme and the Cucumber) and this trial pack is an awesome way to see which one is worth a full-sized purchase.
Sigma’s brushes are amongst my every day must-haves and this set of three brushes is affordable, practical and features my favourite eye brush of all-time, the E40. This set is perfect for everyone. From eyeshadow beginners to absolute pros.
Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Celebrity Lipstick Charms – ~$50 (£29)
More mini lipsticks! It doesn’t get much more luxe than Charlotte Tilbury, and these mini shades look seriously beautiful. There’s something for everyone in this trio, with their best selling nude-pink, a red and a rosy plum.
Jouer Best of Nudes Mini Lip Creme Set – ~$52 (£30)
The Jouer lip line has thoroughly impressed me this year and this set looks absolutely incredible if you or someone you know wants a chance to try out the range. There’s a nude in here for everyone.
The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Premium Collection – $55
The OG favourite for bodycare and every Christmas season, they come out with so many gifting options. My pick is this box, filled with Almond Milk & Honey goodness. This year, the scent has become my favourite from the brand – not too overpowering and very relaxing. Gift this to that friend who needs that ultimate pamper session.
The name says it all with this one, isn’t it stunning? The shades in this palette are modelled after shades found in their Custom Enhancer Drops line-up and from swatching this a couple of times, I can see that they’re just as intense. The rose gold packaging is sure to please, too.
Kiehls Facial Fuel Set – $62
If you’ve got a guy in your life, boyfriend, brother, father, friend, who is looking to get into skincare, this is an awesome place to start. I’ve heard from plenty of my guy friends that the Kiehls Facial Fuel range is awesome and setting them up with a little routine can really help them get into it.
Tarte’s blush palettes blow me away every year but this circular beauty had me completely convinced. It’s no secret that Tarte’s blushes are well worth the investment and this set is such awesome value for the amount of options you get.
Limited edition NARS goodness is about as special as you can get in the makeup world, and this cheek palette is super gorgeous. The packaging, the shades, the embossing. It’s taken all of my strength not to bring this home with me whenever I swatch it in store.
The pièce de résistance of the Hourglass holiday line-up, in my opinion. I’m hearing amazing things about this metallic highlighting formula and this trio is sure to become a favourite for anyone who receives it.
I’m obsessed with Go-To Skincare and they always have cute sets available around this time of year. My pick of the bunch is this set with their lip balm, hand cream, silk pillowcase (seriously incredible and an awesome investment) and an adorable cosmetic bag.
Zoeva Classic Face Brush Set – $128
Brushes are a great gift for your makeup-obsessed friend but I’m sure everyone agrees that you can never have too many. Zoeva’s brushes are such great quality and their sets are always well-curated so that all of the brushes are ones you’ll actually use.
The final selection on the mini lipstick front, the MAC Snowball collection blew me away this year, and this set of 12 lipsticks is sure to have all of your bases covered, no matter what kind of shade you want. These seem to be unavailable online but if you spot them in store, snap it up quick!
Clarisonic Mia 2* – $219
A practical gift, sure, but one that they’ll be appreciating for years to come. I swear by my Clarisonic and I know that many others consider it a non-negotiable in their routine, too.
Becca Limited Edition Shimmering Skin Perfector Vault – $340
Now this one is a little bit over-the-top, sure, but stick it on your Christmas list and hope that Santa’s got you covered. Every. Single. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector. That’s as special as it gets. I mostly just put this in here so I can show you this beauty, rather than suggesting you need to buy this for every single one of your closest friends but a girl can dream, right?
What’s on your Christmas beauty wishlist?
