In a couple of days, it’ll be the magical morning where Mecca drops all of their holiday goodness. Keep an eye on their website this Thursday. Value packs, gift sets, travel trios and all of the new releases. And if you couldn’t already guess, I am EXCITED. I’m still working away on my full holiday gift guides for this year but, after taking a peek at the holiday catalogue, I couldn’t resist sharing my top picks from the holiday releases just a couple of days before they launch online and in-store. You can see a full list of what’s launching on Thursday on Mecca’s event, here! And the great thing is, this isn’t even close to all of the releases. This hardly even scratches the surface. In fact, if there’s something mentioned here that hasn’t launched yet then keep an eye out for the second round of releases on the 28th of November!
Anyway, here are my top recommendations – I hope you all have as much fun as I have had, trawling through their website and adding everything to my cart.
Soap and Glory Fizz-A-Ball Bath Bombs
$7AUD, $7NZD (launching on November 28)
Soap and Glory bath bombs? I am sold. It’s awesome to see a much-loved bath and body brand branching out a little and these are awesome for stocking stuffers or just for yourself. How many of these can I buy? A million? Awesome.
Soap and Glory The Lime Of Your Life Set
$18AUD, $20NZD (launching on November 28)
I LOVE the Sugar Crush from Soap and Glory. Like, it’s an all-time favourite. So you can totally bet on me adding this set to my order. It contains minis of a bunch of different formulas – hand creams, body scrubs, everything. And that’s perfect for me because I will never get enough of this scent.
I’ve been intrigued by the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray for a while now and this set of minis looks like the perfect way to try it out. It’s accompanied by their Stress Check Breathe In oil which also sounds awesome.
The Mecca Cosmetica line-up is seriously luxe. And filled with absolute gems. And this set showcases two of their best sellers. I’ve been a long time fan of Lip de Luscious and their hand cream is incredible too so this is an awesome little stocking stuffer!
Mecca Max really brought it with their holiday sets this year so there will be a couple of mentions. Firstly, this illuminating primer & setting spray duo looks awesome. I’ve been really loving the primer since I first got it so can totally recommend this set, particularly if you’re on the drier end of the skin spectrum.
This glowy set with a mini highlighting powder and a gorgeous metallic foil eyeshadow also looks incredible. A great way to get an introduction to the Mecca Max range. The set comes in three shades – Pearl, Gold and Bronze, matching up to the highlighter shades and paired with a complementary eye colour.
It’s great to see brands that are often a little pricier bring out cheap and cheerful options for the holidays. These mini sets, with a lipstick and a blush, are perfect for anyone getting into higher end makeup or just lovers of all things NARS. There’s a bunch of different shade options available so take your pick.
Origins Mini Mask Marvels
$36AUD, $39NZD (launching on November 28)
Who doesn’t love an awesome face mask mini? They’re perfect for travel or to try out the awesome line-up of masks that Origins have on offer. I’m a huge fan of the Clear Improvement and Drink Up Intensive masks, and I’ve had my eye on the other two for ages. So I’m considering picking this set up so I have a travel-appropriate tube of all of my favourites.
I’m a huge fan of the Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lip Colours – they’re comfortable, easy to apply and easily one of my favourite liquid lip formulas. So this intro set with three gorgeous shades would be an awesome way to try it out. The shades included are Hemp, XYZ and Swank.
I’ve already picked this one up – that’s how keen I am. The second I spotted the golden NARS Audacious packaging I knew it was going to be mine. Anita is also a stunning shade, a beautiful pinky-brown nude. This is one of those special, limited-edition purchases that should definitely be on your radar.
Another huge Mecca Max holiday release – this stunning 35-shade palette looks a little reminiscent of Morphe’s best-sellers and the shade range looks to die for. I spotted this in store a little while ago and had a few quick swatches and it looks gorgeous!
People never seem to talk about Smashbox enough but this year, their holiday releases look incredible. Of course, my pick of the bunch is the blush palette – it looks absolutely beautiful, with shades for contour, bronzer, highlighter and blush. Can’t wait to swatch this one in store.
The Glitter & Glow shadows from Stila were sold out everywhere when they first launched and I feel sure this mini set will be a similar story. Especially as this set gives us a sneak peek of the upcoming Shimmer & Glow liquid eyeshadow formula launching soon. The set has a gorgeous range of champagnes, golds and warm maroons. You can view swatches here.
I will always go weak at the knees for a good cheek palette. And NARS delivered this year. The packaging is gorgeous, the pan design is gorgeous and those shades are perfect. Laguna is obviously a mainstay in people’s collection but this time, it’s accompanied by the gorgeous Lovesick blush and Surreal highlighter. You can view swatches here.
I’ve had my eye on the new Confession lipstick launch from Hourglass since they arrived and although I’m not sure I can justify the price for a single, this set of three looks totally up my alley. Is it just me or are all the good gift sets coming in threes this year? It comes with My One Desire from the regular line-up and then two new exclusive shades, True Love Means and You Are My. You can view swatches here.
Everyone has been losing their minds over Tatcha this year so it’s no surprise that they’ve got an enviable bunch of best sellers. This set has a sample of their cleansing oil, classic enzyme powder, silk cream and the luminous dewy skin mist that everyone can’t stop talking about. This one looks like an awesome deal and I can tell you that I am very tempted…
Whenever the holidays roll around, you can be sure that Hourglass will be bringing out something special. This time, there’s two gorgeous palettes on offer. My pick is this one, with three of their highlighting powders. I’ve heard awesome things about the formula so I think I’ll need to swatch this one ASAP. You can view swatches here.
It doesn’t get much more luxe than a trio of By Terry Ombre Blackstars. These cream eyeshadow sticks are seriously awesome stuff – easy to blend out and the shade range is just full of gorgeous shades. This set has a full-size Blond Opal, Bronze Moon and Misty Rock – three neutral shades that would suit absolutely anyone. This is an awesome way to try out the range without forking out $56 for a single shade.
What will you be buying this holiday season?
