Priceline Pickups #12 / 50% Off Cosmetics November 2017 - The Beauty Collection - Australis Pink Lady Colour Clique Primer, Savvy CC Primer, Savvy Silky Blush, Maybelline Bad To The Bronze Eye Tattoo, Australis Shimmer Pot in Tantalising Taupe, Models Own Eyeshadow Palette in Barely There, Rimmel Brow This Way Fibre Pencil, Essence Volume Stylist Lash Extension Mascara, Australis GRLBOSS Demi-Matte Lip Cream in Slay, Models Prefer Airbrush Brush, Models Prefer Dual Purpose Powder & Bronzer Brush, Models Prefer Powder Brush

So I got myself up this morning and made my way to my local Priceline, wallet in one hand, basket in the other. And the damage. was. done. Of course, the last thing I needed was new makeup, especially a couple of weeks off going overseas, but I can hardly resist 50% off. And there’s always exciting new things on my list to try. Nevertheless, I was well-behaved. Deciding on a budget before heading in and ending up way under it – it’s the little wins. I had a rough list of things I wanted to check out, most of which I found in store, so I’m happy with my new bits and pieces. If you’re after recommendations for what to pick up, you know where to go, otherwise, keep reading to see what I picked up this time around!

Priceline Pickups #12 / 50% Off Cosmetics November 2017 - The Beauty Collection - Australis Pink Lady Colour Clique Primer, Savvy CC Primer, Savvy Silky Blush

Australis Color Clique Primer in Pink Lady

The new range of colour correcting primers from Australis definitely intrigued me and after having a bit of a play with them all, I settled on Pink Lady, for it’s brightening and illuminating claims. There have been plenty of new launches from Australis that caught my attention, so I spent plenty of time at their stand checking everything out.

Savvy CC Powder in Brightening

A repurchase, of course, even though I just purchased one in August, so I have a back up when my current one runs out! For $5 on sale, I can’t believe how much I love this powder. It’s an every day essential for me and I’m always a little worried they might discontinue it, which is maybe why I’m hoarding backups…

Savvy Blush in Silky Pink

I spent a bit of time at the Savvy stand (as I recommend you do, too) to check out the new products they’ve got in the range, as there’s plenty of awesome looking bits and pieces. But I ended up settling for a blush shade, after swatching it and falling a little bit in love. It’s got a hint of sheen to it and looks like a beautiful winter-spring transition shade. If it performs as well as it swatches then I’ll be very impressed with this blush that cost me three dollars on sale.

Priceline Pickups #12 / 50% Off Cosmetics November 2017 - The Beauty Collection - Maybelline Bad To The Bronze Eye Tattoo, Australis Shimmer Pot in Tantalising Taupe, Models Own Eyeshadow Palette in Barely There

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad To The Bronze

I reached for my well-loved Bad to the Bronze last weekend and realised it had dried out quite a bit. But considering how long it’s been in my collection, this isn’t too surprising. So I thought it was time to pick up a new one to replace it with. This is such a gorgeous shade to throw all over the lid so I’m excited to get stuck in to this fresh pot.

Australis Shimmer Pigment Pots in Tantalising Taupe

Another Australis launch that’s had me very intrigued, the swatches of these loose pigments totally drew me in. I went for the gorgeous neutral-taupe shade but I think I might need to find the champagne shade in stores tomorrow. These look absolutely gorgeous so I can’t wait to pat this shade all over the center of the lid when I’m getting a little bit more glammed up.

Models Own Eyeshadow Palette in Barely There

I had my fingers crossed that my local Priceline would have a Models Own stand and was very excited to spot it when I was doing my shopping. I played with just about everything but settled for this beautiful neutral eyeshadow palette. The shades are beautiful, with a great mix of mattes and shimmer. And the swatches look very promising – can’t wait to try this one on the eyes.

Priceline Pickups #12 / 50% Off Cosmetics November 2017 - The Beauty Collection - Rimmel Brow This Way Fibre Pencil, Essence Volume Stylist Lash Extension Mascara, Australis GRLBOSS Demi-Matte Lip Cream in Slay

Rimmel Brow This Way Fibre Pencil in Light

I’ve been making an effort to experiment with more budget brow products lately, so picked up this pencil from Rimmel that sounded very interesting. Combining the ease of the pencil with the power of fibres to add volume? I’m looking forward to trying it. I’m hoping that the blonde shade in the range will suit me…

Essence Volume Stylist Lash Extension Mascara

After hearing Tati raving about this, I couldn’t resist adding it to my basket. And I have high hopes, too, because I’ve loved so many Essence mascaras in the past. It sounds like it has fibres in it, to really lengthen the lashes. And that definitely sounds like the kind of mascara for me. Annoyingly, it’s nowhere to be seen on the Priceline site…

Australis Grlboss Demi-Matte Lip Cream in Slay

I’ve had these on my mind for a while now, after seeing swatches all over my Instagram feed. So these were one of the first products I’d put on my little wishlist. Australis have plenty of awesome lip products in their line-up so I’m hoping these are just as great. Slay looks like my kind of shade, too.

Priceline Pickups #12 / 50% Off Cosmetics November 2017 - The Beauty Collection - Models Prefer Airbrush Brush, Models Prefer Dual Purpose Powder & Bronzer Brush, Models Prefer Powder Brush

Models Prefer Professional Airbrush BrushDual Purpose 104 Powder & Bronzer

I also couldn’t resist stocking up on my favourite brushes while they were 50% off. They’re a good deal at the best of times so I grabbed a back-up of two brushes that I use very regularly. The Airbrush brush is a favourite to apply tinted moisturisers and BB creams and the Dual Purpose Powder & Bronzer brush is my go-to every morning to set my under eye area and t-zone with loose powder. But I also love it for bronzer.

Models Prefer Professional Powder Brush

I also grabbed a new one to try out, thinking the shape looked perfect to apply bronzer with. It smells a little more chemical-y than others from the MP range but I’m hoping it’s the same quality as the others I’ve tried and loved in the past.

    The brushes are super cute

  • Great picks! I was tempted by the new Australis lip creams but decided I didn’t need them! The formula is nice but perhaps a little too slippy for me. I had a look at the Model’s Own stand but nothing really jumped out at me actually! I ended up buying all the new shades of the Essence lip liners hahah – they were only $1 each and the new shades are so on trend and totally up my alley!

    Tasha // shiwashiful.

    • I definitely didn’t need them either but I’m always so intrigued by new drugstore lip launches! I tried mine on yesterday and loved it, especially after blotting it down! And I felt the same way with most of the Models Own stuff, but I’ve really liked what I’ve tried so far! I didn’t actually see the new Essence lip liners but what a bargain, omg!
