Someone should remind me that I’m saving up for my trip to Europe next month because lately, I’ve been a little irresponsible with my bank account. The holidays always get me when it comes to buy new makeup, so the new bits have been coming in thick and fast. After a year of being reasonably responsible (for a beauty writer, anyway) my wishlist got the better of me. So I thought rather than flooding your feed with hauls for the next month, I’d give you a quick, collective look at the damage that’s been done lately. Let me know if there’s anything you want to hear more about and I’ll add it to my to-write or to-swatch list!
I spotted this on one of my many late night trawls of the US Sephora site and knew that it had to be mine so imagine my surprise when I spotted it at my local Mecca store! I snapped it up straight away – it’s a gorgeous browny-nude and the packaging is a NARS collector’s dream. This is my first purchase from Mecca’s holiday releases but if I’m honest, I don’t think it’ll be my last.
EVERYONE was raving about these when they first launched and I finally got around to grabbing one on my last trip in-store. I went for Kitten Karma and although I’ve yet to try it out on the lids, whenever I search it I can’t stop staring. They’ve just launched a new shimmer liquid eyeshadow formula, too, which I can’t wait to try after swatching it in store.
The sample that came with the Chloe Morello palette was the perfect chance to try out this mascara that I probably never would’ve looked at twice, otherwise. But I was obsessed with it for months. Of course, my mini dried out a little while ago so I couldn’t resist picking up a back-up. I’m still tossing up which mascara to bring with me to Europe but this is definitely on the short-list.
The travel-sized displays near the checkouts in-store always get me and this time it was a single pack of Mecca’s eye gel masks. I’m intrigued by the concept and the skin under my eyes has been looking a little dehydrated so I’m excited to try.

Okay, okay. After getting a million and one recommendations to try this base out it’s finally mine. This Sephora haul was spurred on thanks to an invitation to the new Highpoint Sephora’s opening event, along with it’s 20% off offer. I took it as the perfect opportunity to pick up this one that everyone seems to love. I’ve tried it once or twice and think I could be onto something seriously awesome. The shade looks bizarre when swatched but works much better on my skin tone than I was expecting.
Another pricey base that I’d been meaning to pick up for a while. And it was made a little easier by the 20% off. I’ve loved this foundation in the past but the shade I owned was way too dark, so I’m excited to finally have one that matches me. This is definitely going to be a favourite on nights out, when I feel like a little more coverage.
I mentioned in my latest wishlist post that these Click Sticks were on my radar. So I grabbed N10 as, luckily, it was in stock at the pristine and brand new display. It’s teeny tiny but it seems like you don’t really need a lot of product to work with at a time. Looking forward to seeing how this one goes, if it’s a real success then you can bet it’ll be coming with me overseas, along with one of the cream highlighter shades.
There are so many Cover FX products I want to try, so I also picked up one of their bronzers. It’s a beautiful colour, and we all know I’m always on the look-out for the next best bronzer for pale skin so I’ve been really impressed with this. The colour is subtle but it adds a beautiful warmth to the face without ever looking out of place.
This was a real ‘it’s 20% off, yolo’ moment but considering I’ve been swatching this lipstick every time I go past a Dior counter pretty much since they launched, I’m not that mad. It’s a gorgeous, glossy formula with plenty of pigment and the deep pink-mauve shade is so up my alley. I rarely splurge on high-end lipsticks but I’m glad I made an exception this time around.

The second I set eyes on this palette I knew I had to have it. It’s been a long time since I felt this truly drawn to a range of eyeshadows (dramatic much?) so the day it launched on Cult Beauty, I put it in my cart and checked out. And man, it’s everything I wanted and more. I’ve got a swatch post coming very soon because I’ve hardly put it down since it arrived.
Tawny Rose is still one of my most reached for liquid lipsticks – it’s the perfect shade and the perfect formula. So I knew that next time I was ordering from Cult Beauty, I’d need to pick up a few more products from their line. This time, it was Lychee. An embarrassingly similar shade to Tawny Rose but a little pinker. The formula’s just as good so I can see my collection continuing to expand.
I’ve been meaning to try this launch since I first spotted them on Instagram and they have not disappointed. I picked up Rodeo and luckily, Park Ave, another shade I was after, was a free gift at the time – score. The name says it all. They’re super pigmented, super glossy and super comfortable. These were worth the wait.
I’d also had my eyes on the newer Sheer Pigment glosses they launched recently so Worth Ave made its way into the cart too. Again, the formula is fairly self-explanatory. They don’t provide quite as much colour to the lips but they are GORGEOUS all the same. It’s a little less intense but looks gorgeous on it’s own or over another colour.
Another pre-Europe purchase. I wanted a little brush that wouldn’t take up too much space in my luggage and this looked perfect!

Only a little purchase but I couldn’t resist picking up one of the LE Snowball lipsticks from MAC’s Holiday Collection. One of the shades were totally up my alley but this deep berry had a certain appeal and I’ve actually been loving it. And that packaging. MAC have killed it on the Holiday LE packaging, once again.

You Had Me At Hello & I Think I Love You Eyeshadow Palettes
I’d been meaning to try the Colourpop eyeshadow palettes for a little while, but the launch of the You Had Me At Hello palette finally convinced me to press that ‘place order’ button. It’s name is fairly appropriate because as soon as I saw pics and swatches of that beauty, I was sold. And the I Think I Love You palette also looked like my kind of shades, so I added that in too. They’re a little more compact than I was expecting but I’m really looking forward to trying them out. I haven’t included swatches of these two in the post but a quick swatch post is definitely in the works.

I also took the opportunity to grab a couple more single eyeshadows for my Colourpop palette because they just keep on impressing me. Plenty of shades that are definitely up my alley, including a lighter pinky champagne that’ll be awesome for the inner corner or brow bone. And another matte, because the CP formula is amazing.
The launch of Colourpop brushes also intrigued me so I decided to grab one to try. I went with a blush brush, as I’m always looking for the next best option. It’s smaller and denser and on first impressions, I’m not sure I get along with it too well for applying blush but I’ll have to see how I go.
