Yet again, the Priceline 40% off cosmetics sale got me good. My paycheck came in on Tuesday night and it pretty much disappeared on Wednesday morning. As always, I ended up going to three different Pricelines to grab a couple of different things. But I did have a couple of things on my list that I couldn’t find anywhere – namely the NYX Angel Veil and NYX High Voltage Lipstick in Flutterkiss. But for the most part, I’m happy with what I grabbed. Let’s get into the haul.
I’ve told myself to try more primers from the budget market and this is where I’m starting. This one seems to sell really well in Priceline stores so I thought it was worth a go. It feels a little bit hydrating and like it’ll provide a good base for makeup so I’m excited to get testing.
I remember loving this BB cream forever ago, like 2013, before I really knew what I was doing with makeup (well, I still don’t really) so I wanted to pick it back up and see whether it was still a hit for me. I’m a little bit skeptical about the shade match but I’ll have to see how I go. I often love these kinds of lightweight bases for everyday wear.
After my new-found love for the Maybelline Matte & Poreless, I wanted to revisit this foundation stick to see how I liked it. I’ve been really enjoying these handy sticks lately and I’m also on the lookout for the perfect base to take away with me at the end of the year so hopefully, this will tick all the right boxes.
A repurchase of this powder that I absolutely love. The two I already have from this range are very loved and I’ve hit pan on them both and because of that, one of them smashed when I took it to Sydney with me last month so I needed to stock up yet again. My favourite every day setting powder.
I’ve loved the Revlon blushes in the past so gave them another look while I was in store. And when I saw this neutral shade in the line-up, I was convinced. I’ve fallen even more in love with these kinds of shades lately because they give so much life to the face while never looking over the top.
Another repurchase, which probably wasn’t entirely necessary when you think about the millions of unopened mascaras I have sitting there. But I’ve been absolutely loving this one lately so I think I’ll put this one away to take with me when I go to Europe. Lots of volume, lots of length and it holds a curl beautifully all day so it’s another win for me.
Models Prefer Beauty Lab Diamond Sponge
A total impulse purchase while I was at the registers. I’m always interested to try out new sponges and see how they go and this diamond sponge looked way too pretty to pass up. I haven’t tried this diamond shape before, so I’m intrigued.
The last thing I needed was more lip products but somehow I ended up with several newbies. It’s been ages since I’d looked at Revlon’s lipstick range and this new shade looked right up my alley. A beautiful mauve in what looks to be an incredibly comfortable, wearable formula.
I couldn’t resist swatching a couple of the Butter Gloss shades, I’ve been loving Tiramisu so much. Angel Food Cake is a beautiful glossy mauve shade, absolutely perfect for me, so I’m sure this one will be getting plenty of use too.
I’m a big fan of Burt’s Bees lip products and after having a play with these, I was very tempted to give them a go. I’ve been loving lightweight, hydrating lip oils lately, too, so I’m excited to give it a go. Whispering Orchid is a subtle mauve-pink.
The Essence lip liners are just too good to pass up, especially when they’re $1.20 on sale. I’ve already got a bunch of them in my drawers and I’m not sure I really needed this fuchsia-berry shade but it was like nothing I already owned.
L to R: Revlon Naughty Nude, Revlon Sassy Mauve, NYX Angel Food Cake,
Burt’s Bees Whispering Orchid, Essence Honey Berry
