My Favourite Online Beauty Stores with Afterpay

My Favourite Online Beauty Stores with Afterpay - Adore Beauty, Sephora, MAC, RY.com.au, Myer, Crush Cosmetics, Picture Polish, Ettica, Etoile Collective

Online shopping is a magical, magical thing. It allows me to lie in bed or on my couch and procrastinate my day away, looking at all the new and exciting things I totally want but definitely don’t need. I’ve managed to curb my online spending habit over the last little while. A combination of saving every penny for Europe and being completely overwhelmed my existing collection has been a great deterrent but even I can’t resist browsing the sales when a new email pops up in my inbox. And let’s just say that the introduction of Afterpay to my life hasn’t been helping.

Afterpay works a little like layby for online shopping. At checkout, you pay the first of four equal instalments. Your shopping is then on it’s way to you. Then every two weeks, you pay another instalment. The only additional fees come if you miss a payment at some stage along the line. You can read more about the process here. It’s also available at some places in store but today, I wanted to write up a list of the online beauty stores to check out if you’re feeling a splurge coming on but would rather spread out the hit to your bank account. Particularly as there’s been some exciting additions to the Afterpay line-up lately. Now just to wait for Mecca Maxima to have Afterpay (I’ve heard whispers…) and I’ll be ready for anything.

Adore Beauty

Adore Beauty has long been one of my favourite online beauty stores – Australian-owned, incredibly fast shipping and there’s a Tim Tam in every package. So Afterpay was just the icing on the cake for me and my Adore Beauty obsession. They’ve got plenty of awesome well-known brands, often at a slightly lower price than elsewhere, and I also love their skincare section, which is sorted into Essentials, Professional & Luxe filters. You can view the top 5 best-selling items at Adore Beauty here, too, if you’re interested!

BRANDS TO CHECK OUT: Becca, Benefit, Bobbi Brown, Garbo & Kelly, L’Occitane, Laura Mercier, Pixi, RCMA, Sigma, The Ordinary.

Sephora.com.au

There was very exciting news last week when Sephora jumped on the Afterpay bandwagon. Although there have been mixed reviews about the shipping experiences with Sephora AU, it’s hard to ignore their huge range of awesome brands. Particularly the brands that were previously unavailable for us Aussie beauty lovers. I could browse the Sephora site for hours and don’t forget the travel-size section for a great way to try something out without splurging on the full price.

BRANDS TO CHECK OUT: Anastasia Beverly Hills, Beautyblender, Becca, Benefit, Cover FX, Huda Beauty, IT Cosmetics, Kat Von D, Make Up For Ever, Marc Jacobs, Sephora Collection, Tarte, Zoeva.

MAC

I was also very excited to hear that MAC Australia partnered with Afterpay recently. The brand is obviously a powerhouse for on-trend releases, incredible formulas and any shade of lipstick, eyeshadow, blush that you could possibly imagine. It’s also a favourite for makeup artists, so the ability to pay off your kit restock over four instalments could definitely come in handy. I know I’ll be taking advantage of the Afterpay function next time there’s a stunning LE release.

RY.com.au

Another Australian-owned beauty site that has everything you could possibly want, all in one place. I love that they have plenty of makeup as well as bringing lots of awesome skincare and haircare brands to my attention. Again, often at a price that can’t be beaten. They even have a perks system, where you get rewarded for being a regular shopper. Their newly opened MUA Shop looks awesome, too.

BRANDS TO CHECK OUT: Becca, Deciem, Dermalogica, Ecotools, ghd, Goldwell, ModelRock, Ofra, Pixi, Sigma, Skinstitut, The Ordinary.

Myer

Myer is obviously a bit of an institution in Australia, so it’s great to see them offering Afterpay for their online store on purchases over $100. Obviously, they’ve got a huge range of clothes, accessories and homewares to choose from. But they’re online beauty and fragrance section also keeps getting better and better. There’s also frequent sales and plenty of brands to choose from.

BRANDS TO CHECK OUT: Benefit, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Clarins, Dior, Giorgio Armani, Jo Malone, Kiehl’s, MAC, Yves Saint Laurent.

Crush Cosmetics

Over the years, Crush Cosmetics have definitely had an upgrade. Nowadays, the site is easy to navigate and offers plenty of awesome brands to check out. What I love is that most of their offerings are on the budget side of the spectrum. Again, they love to bring those brands that are hard for Australians to find on our shores and make them much more easily accessible.

BRANDS TO CHECK OUT: Ardell, Gerard Cosmetics, Jordana, Lipland, Milani, Sleek, Socialeyes, WetNWild.

Picture Polish

A bit of a different one but I did want to mention Picture Polish in this list. They’re an ‘indie’ nail polish brand that has produced some of my top favourite nail colours over the years. Lots of glitter, holographic shifts and rich, bright colours. They often collaborate with nail polish bloggers to bring unique and gorgeous shades to their collection. They’ve also branched out lately into lipsticks, which is exciting. I wholeheartedly recommend checking out their range.

Etoile CollectiveEttica

And finally, if you’re after some storage for your makeup collection, after all of your shopping, Etoile Collective & Ettica both offer Afterpay on their sites, too. They’ve both got a huge range of beautiful, high-quality acrylic storage that’s well worth checking out. Whether it’s simply a lipstick holder or a full drawer divider setup.

I visited Myer when I was in Melbourne last week,. There were many offers, but couldn’t get my shade for foundation and concealer I was looking for 🙁

    • Oh that’s so annoying! 🙁 Normally they have a great range!

Yes,.. It was our fault too,.. because we went late in evening and very few sales people were there and they were unable to help with my shade,..
