As you can probably tell by the influx of hauls around these parts, my debit card has been getting a workout lately. But when US Sephora offer 15% off everything on the site, it’s hard for me to resist. As the sale comes around every six months, I normally plan a little wishlist and grab a couple of things while they’re cheaper. Ignoring the fact that when you add on sales tax and shipping to Australia, you don’t really save all that much.
Nevertheless, I always take it as an opportunity to pick up a couple of things I’ve been lusting after that haven’t quite reached Australian shores yet. Or really, just whatever takes my fancy. Here’s a look at what I picked up this time around.
After getting along so well with the Backlight Priming Filter from Becca, it didn’t take long for this new release to make it’s way onto my wishlist. I always love a good, hydrating, brightening primer so I have high hopes. This one has a violet tone to it, designed to brighten and even out imperfections. It’s also meant to hydrate and revive skin. Overall, it sounds incredibly promising. I’ll report back soon.
At one stage, I think I had four or five different setting powders in my basket. You could say that I have a bit obsession with setting my face. But I managed to whittle down the list to this travel size of the Kat Von D powder that I’ve heard so much about. I love travel size powders because it always takes me so long to get through them anyway so it’s a great way of trying out the formula without having to pay the full price.
The Benefit cheek palettes always look incredible but I’ve never taken the plunge before. This time I couldn’t resist. My Rockateur and Dandelion blushes were also unfortunately among those destroyed in the flood. So I took this as the perfect opportunity to repurchase them while also getting the opportunity to try out the newly released Galifornia and Hoola Lite. I can’t wait to get stuck into this one. I do wish that instead of the brush they included the new highlighter they released or another blush but hey, still awesome value!

I’ve previously mentioned how a little while back, my room flooded and a bunch of my makeup got destroyed. My favourite blush of all time, Becca’s Flowerchild, was one of the wounded. So I took the opportunity to pick it up in this order. I’m very happy to have this beautiful, peachy pink in my collection again.
When I first saw pictures of these Too Faced highlighters, I looked a little like the heart-eyes emoji. So this was one of the first things that made their way into the Sephora basket. I was tossing up on which shade to get but went with Blinded By The Light, a pearlescent champagne. I’m already in love with the shade so can’t wait to report back on whether these are worth picking up when they arrive in Australia.

I spotted this set, made up of a full-size Better Than Sex Mascara and a mini Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Sell Out, and couldn’t resist. I’ve been wanting to try out the Too Faced liquid lip formula but couldn’t really justify buying yet another nude. So when I saw this set with a mini plus one of my favourite mascaras, for a very reasonable price, I thought why not? Now I’ve got a repurchase of BTS and a new liquid lip to try. Success.
I’ve been hearing so much about this dreamy Marc Jacobs formula and couldn’t resist picking up a shade. The range of nudes all caught my eye but in the end, I went for Slow Burn. It’s a rosy nude that’s actually a little deeper than I was expecting, but still beautiful. From first impressions, this feels super creamy and moisturising. And the packaging is incredibly luxe, as can be expected from Marc Jacobs.

An injection of newness into my makeup collection is also very welcome so I can’t wait to get testing and report back on everything ASAP. But now, it’s time to get back to saving for my trip at the end of the year. If you see me tweeting about any other orders, you definitely have permission to yell at me…
