It’s no secret that one of my favourite steps when it comes to my makeup routine is brightening up my under eyes. A couple of swipes of concealer, a quick blend and I look like a new me. A new me with a couple more hours of sleep. My concealing and correcting arsenal is full of powerhouse products, so I like to keep everything on rotation but for the past month or so, I can’t seem to put down a particularly effective combo from Urban Decay – the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Coverage Concealer in Fair Neutral & Urban Decay Naked Skin Colour Correcting Fluid in Pink. I’ve mentioned them both separately before but together, they’re a match made in heaven.
I start off with a simple swipe of the pink colour correcting fluid under each eye. Straight away, I’m starting to look more awake. The light pink tone works beautifully with my fair skin so I find I can also use it alone, if I’m in a rush. On deeper skin tones, I’m not sure this’ll work quite as well but layered underneath, it’ll work a treat. The colour corrector is pink with a slightly peachy tone to it, making it perfect to cancel out the blue tones that I get under the eyes. I then layer a little of the concealer over the top to really provide a flawless finish. I then quickly set the area with a fluffy brush and my RCMA No Color Powder and give the area a quick pat down with my finger.
The formulas for both products are intensely pigmented so I only need a little bit to get the desired effect. They’re also quite thick so I really make sure to take my time patting it into the under eyes and blending it out. They also work incredibly well with a BeautyBlender. It’s important to not use too much of either product as otherwise things can start to crease. Once set down with powder, the product wears beautifully with next to no wearing off throughout the day.

The great thing is that these work together, alone or with any combination of the other products in my collection. And my undereye area has never looked better. Although the original hype has died down, I’m still so impressed with these formulas. If you’re after a dream duo to really help brighten up the under eyes, these beauties are definitely worth a look.
