Oh yes, I’ve done some shopping. The VIB Rouge 20% off sale came around and I got just a little bit tempted. Although originally my cart had approximately a million things in it, I kept whittling it down to the select few.
I hadn’t seen much about this one before spotting it on the Sephora site but when a Laura Mercier product offers glow in the form of a sheer, lightweight powder, I’m on board. I have been loving this one daily since it arrived, it’s subtle on the skin, it never looks powdery and manages to make my skin look just a little more luminous.
I picked up a travel size because, although I’ve never been blown away with the Hourglass Ambient products, there was something about this bronzer that caught my attention. So far I’m not sure what to think of it, it’s probably a little too intense for me but applied lightly, it does add a bit of sun-kissed glow.
The second I saw the announcement for this all-matte palette, I knew it had to be mine. Beyond the beautiful packaging, the shades inside are right up my alley. I’ve played with this one a couple of times now. I’m really impressed with how pigmented the shades are – definitely giving my other favourite all-matte palettes a run for their money.
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Star Clash Edition Lipstick
This was actually the bit that started off this whole order. I tend to be drawn to anything with star prints on it so this luxe lipstick was simply a must for me. I got it in a beautiful nude shade – totally my type. Realistically, I’m not sure if I’ll really be wearing this one much, rather than just staring at it.
Although I haven’t well and truly given into the hype surrounding the Huda Beauty range, I saw this liner & liquid lipstick set and thought it’d be the perfect set to introduce me to the formula – particularly as both of the colours in the set were right up my alley. I haven’t had a proper chance to test it but first impressions are looking very good – comfortable, long-wearing & easy to apply.
My two little points bonuses this time around came from Boscia and Stila. The full-size Boscia cleanser was actually sitting my cart before I spotted it in the bonuses section so I can’t wait to try it out. Everyone knows I’m a sucker for a cleansing balm. As for the Stila mascara, I have a high hopes. The brush looks very similar to the Too Faced BTS mascara so I expect good things to come.
