It’s favourites time yet again! September was a pretty quiet month – the first half was all about taking some time out during my uni holidays but I’m getting back into my final trimester now. Coincidentally, all of my favourites for the month can be found at Priceline. I must’ve been feeling serious drugstore vibes this month…
The RCMA No Color Powder is all I’ll use to set my under eyes, I’ve been reaching for this powder to set the rest of my face for the last month or two. It provides a little bit of extra coverage to my foundation and leaves my skin looking flawless, what more could you ask for?
I already mentioned that I’ve been digging this one in my latest drugstore loves post. But any bronzer that works on my pale skin, nice and subtle without being too orange, is worth mentioning again. Between my new obsession with this and the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer, my previous favourites haven’t been getting much wear time lately.
This month, I’ve been really into tight-lining. Making my lashes look a little fuller and smokier has made a huge difference. I’ve been trying a couple of different pencils but this slightly metallic bronze shade from Models Prefer has become my go-to. The formula is super soft and easy to apply to the waterline, it stays all day and the brown is a little less harsh than black.
It’s probably no surprise to those that have read my previous posts on these lipsticks that one of these is turning up in my favourites for the month. Lily Lake has been my go-to lipstick, living in my bag for pretty much the whole month. It’s a beautiful wearable mauve shade with a formula that’s obviously gotten the thumbs up from me.
I rediscovered this beautiful gloss late in the month and since then, I’ve been wearing it pretty much non-stop. Glossy, pigmented but not uncomfortable or drying on the lips – Snog is a beautiful mauve-y shade, so it’s just my type. It’s yet another lip formula from Rimmel that continues to impress me.
If it’s a balm or an oil, and it’s designed to cleanse your face, you can be sure that I’m trying to track it down. I’ve been trying out this Simple one in preparation for a cleansing oil round up and I’ve been very impressed. For a budget price, the oil is incredible for removing makeup and washes off without leaving any oily residue on the skin.
I’ve been ramping up my acid toning routine after noticing my skin had a little more texture on the cheeks than normal. The pre-soaked pads are effective but don’t sting or dry out the skin, instead I’ve just noticed a huge improvement to the patches of texture and redness I experience on my cheeks and around my jawline.
While waiting for a new BeautyBlender to arrive, I’ve been playing around with the Real Techniques sponge and actually really enjoying it. Unlike the pink BeautyBlender that I didn’t get along with, this one feels nice and spongy and the flat side is awesome for really making sure my foundation looks like skin.
