I’m keeping it short and sweet with August’s favourites – there’s been a bunch that I’ve been loving but I’m keeping it down to the best of the best. I’m currently on holidays from uni so I haven’t been wearing makeup as much for the last week or two and when I have, I’ve been reaching for the tried and true favourites.
Another month, another foundation I’ve been obsessed with. I’ve been loving the simplicity of striping it onto the cheeks and forehead before giving it a quick blend out – a satin finish and just enough coverage for the day to day.
Uni holidays equal me staying up far too late watching Netflix so my under eyes have been very thankful for this peachy one this month. You only need the tiniest bit to work wonders and it wears so beautifully during the day – I set it down with powder and never experience creasing or cakiness.
I’m way overdue for some brow TLC at the moment so they’ve been needing all the help they can get. This pencil manages to be both quick and precise and it does a great job of really defining the shape of the brows.
As I mentioned in my follow up post from my US haul, this has quickly become one of my favourite liquid lipstick formulas. The colour is a super flattering nude on my skin tone and it actually feels so comfortable on the lips. I can’t wait for these to launch in Australia so I can properly check out the range.
The winter weather has really been taking a toll on my skin but I’ve particularly noticed it on my hands. I’ve been applying a generous helping of this each night before bed and have started to see a huge improvement in my cuticles. I continue to be impressed with the bits and pieces I’ve tried from the Mecca range.
This one’s a little random but my favourite fashion bit from the month has been the comfy knit from The Iconic in the background of the shot. It’s comfy and warm but also really flattering, I’ve found, and of course it’s in grey – my favourite. I got it a larger size so it’s just a little loose fitting.
