Although my nail polish collection continues to grow at an alarming rate, when I paint my nails I tend to always reach for the same couple of shades in rotation. They work for me, they’re suitable for any season and the formula’s are all incredible – how could I say no? Here’s a look at my most worn nail colours…
A summer time favourite in particular, and one of Essie’s most popular colours. This light, almost periwinkle blue is bright and beautiful and honestly, I wear it all year long.
I’m very fond of a berry nail colour, they feel super sophisticated but still a little more unique to a classic red. The Complete Salon Manicure formula has quickly become one of my failproof favourites.
One of my favourite nail colours of all time – although I’m normally all about a creme finish for a nail colour there’s just something addictive about painting this rose gold shade onto my tips.
I’ll admit some of the reason I love this polish so much is because it says cats in the name but even beyond that, this deep, royal blue with just the right amount of sparkle is always a favourite.
Everyone needs at least one classic red in their collection – I have about a million but somehow this one always comes out on top. It’s a bright, vibrant red, leaning a little orange and I find it super flattering on my skin tone.
The other nail polish necessity is a good nude colour, I’ve tried a bunch and they normally make my hands look a little dead but this petite bottle from L’Oreal is almost half empty because the colour works so well with my complexion.
