Three Base Favourites From Bare Minerals

It kind of snuck up on me but recently I’ve realised that more and more of my favourites are coming from Bare Minerals. The eyeshadow duo in The Top Shelf blew me away and now I’m beginning to notice that a few of the products I reach for daily also come from a brand that, for the most part, I didn’t think I paid much attention to. But time and time again I’ve been surprised by the products that they have put out on the market, particularly when it comes to the base department – a lightweight base, a brightening under eye helper and a powder to set it all into place.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Gel –

I haven’t been talking much about one of my favourites bases for a little while now because I’ve been rationing it out – this tube is definitely onto it’s last legs but there are some days where I just need this glowy base which provides just the right amount of coverage while taking a minimal amount of time to apply. This is a must-try for girls with drier skin types or anyone that loves a glowy base with enough coverage for a natural, every day look. I really must get around to buying a second tube because whenever I’m travelling this is one of my favourites to bring with me.

Bare Minerals Stroke of Light Eye Brightener –

Initially, I wasn’t blown away with this one but with time I’ve grown to love it. Now it’s my daily under eye concealer. Luckily I’ve been getting enough sleep lately to keep the dark circles to a minimum so this provides enough coverage for day to day while being so lightweight that I experience no creasing or cake-iness on the delicate skin under the eyes. Those who really struggle with dark circles would probably need to layer a more heavy duty concealer underneath (that’s what I do on my more sleep-deprived days) but it still brightens the under eyes like no other.

Bare Minerals Well Rested Powder for Eyes –

I can’t believe there was a time in my life when I didn’t set my under eyes. No wonder product would disappear in the space of a couple of hours. My number one spot will always be the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder but this powder actually provides a little bit of extra coverage unlike my other options. It’s subtle but really makes sure my under eye area looks perfect, especially whenever I feel like concealer hasn’t quite gotten the job done. The powder is finely milled and I find that you only need the tiniest bit to properly set the area.

Have you tried anything from Bare Minerals? What are your favourite products?
