When it comes to fragrance I tend to be a creature of habit – the same, familiar scents get spritzed on day in and day out because I’m in love with them but for the last few months, my two every day favourites have been put on the backburner while I try to get some use out of my slowly growing collection by mixing up my fragrances a little more. Three new beauties have emerged and have made their way into my fragrance rotation.
I picked up Dolce in the last Priceline fragrance sale and since then, I’ve made a significant dent in the bottle. It’s fruity and floral with just a hint of musk, upping the sophistication factor, but I think the main reason I reach for it so much is that it actually lasts well on my skin with the fragrance actually lingering throughout the day. The scent is simple in it’s execution but I can see this fragrance working on just about anyone.
Notes include: Papaya Flower, Neroli, Amaryllis, Narcissus, Water Lily, Musk.
Since buying the mini rollerball duo from Sephora last year, I’ve clearly been favouring the Nirvana White over the Nirvana Black, finding it a little more appropriate for daily wear. Again, it’s a fresh floral with a noticeably dose of musk thrown in (okay, maybe I have a type). On my skin, the floral notes don’t stick around too long, with the musk remaining on the skin just a little longer. If you’re looking for a similar fragrance that’s slightly easier to find – check out Stella by Stella McCartney.
Notes include: Peony, Musk, Lily-of-the-Valley.
The latest addition to the L’Occitane fragrance family comes in the form of a beautifully feminine floral. The reason this one is such a stand out for me is the citrus notes that sit on top of the white florals. The addition of the orange and mandarin sets this one apart from the piles of floral fragrances in my collection. Although in my mind, I know this is more of a Spring-appropriate fragrance, I can’t stop wearing it as we go into the cooler months.
Notes include: Orange, Mandarin, Neroli, Peach, Fig Nectar, Lily-of-the-Valley, Orchid, Musk, Iris.
