My All-Time Favourite Lip Balms

My All Time Favourite Lip Balms - Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask, Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Balm, Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm, By Terry Baume De Rose, Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast Lip Balm

I’m a bit of a lazy moisturiser – my collection of body butters, hand creams and lip balms grows at a scary rate but I’ve just never found myself getting into a routine. Lately, I’ve been trying to get back on board with lip balm – all day, every day – and my lips are thanking me for it. Although I have approximately a million hidden in handbags, drawers and in every room of my house, there are a few favourites that add hydration and comfort to my perpetually dry lips.

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask –

When I first picked this one up in America I wasn’t completely prepared to give in to the hype but now this is holy grail material. It’s hella thick and you only need the tiniest bit to pump so much hydration into your lips and my favourite part is that it actually goes the distance – when I use this I don’t just notice an improvement for the first hour, my lips stay hydrated for days afterwards. This is particularly my favourite for night-time, just before I get into bed.

Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid with Lemon Oil –

If a lip balm smells like lemonade, I’ll admit I’m pretty quick to jump on board. This is another one where you only need the tiniest bit to add shine and provide serious hydration. This one pretty much lives in my handbag now for touch ups on the go because it’s non-sticky and super easy to apply from the tube. On days where I can’t be bothered with a lip colour I just throw a bit of this on to look just a little bit more put together.

Carmex Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm* –

I’ve heard a lot about Carmex in it’s various forms – tubes, jars and sticks – but my favourite form has to be the latter.  It’s lightweight, slightly tingly (but not in an uncomfortable way) and instantly leaves my lips feeling more comfortable. I also really love the peach and pink tinted versions that Carmex have released, a super easy way to add a little bit of subtle colour to the lips.

By Terry Baume De Rose Lip Balm –

Every time I use this tiny little sample jar of Baume de Rose I cry a little because damn, this stuff is expensive. To me, it smells like Turkish Delight (definite win) and although I find the jar a little finicky there’s no denying that this stuff is incredible. No matter how strong my resolve might be, every time I apply a little bit of this, it weakens just a tiny bit – maybe I can spend $90 on a lip balm?

Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast –

On the compete opposite end of the price spectrum, we have the lip balm that I’ve raved about the most on TBC – maybe it’s because it smells like raspberry lemonade (again with the lemonade scents) or maybe just because for $4 you can get your hands on a no-fuss, hydrating wonder. Maybe it’s the throwback to the LipSmacker obsessions of my youyh but there’s something satisfying about using a plain old tube of lip balm and this one is definitely the most hydrating I’ve found in the drugstore.

What’s your favourite lip balm?
