Three Tools That Changed The Way I Do Makeup, Skincare & Haircare

Three Tools That Changed How I Do Makeup, Skincare & Haircare - Tangle Teezer Clarisonic BeautyBlender

It’s pretty rare that tools come along and change the game. But over the last six months a few products have come along and done just that, things that I might not of thought to try off my own bat, but they really do work. Since they’ve come into my life, everything’s been a little bit easier.

BeautyBlender –

As I’ve mentioned before, I was always under the impression that the BeautyBlender was a little bit too hyped up. Surely it couldn’t make that much of a difference to my makeup routine? But from the first time I used it, I could see that my makeup was less cakey and everything looked a little more seamless – exactly what I want from my base. It’s a lifesaver for thicker bases in my foundation drawers and it’s pretty much all I use to blend in concealer under my eyes. I’ve gone through the pros and cons before but honestly, I’m very glad to have the BeautyBlender around.

Clarisonic Mia 2* –

Another one that I thought was a bit of a gimmick but man, was I wrong. My skin has never looked better after having this in my routine for a few months. I can really tell the difference when I’ve had a few days off using it – the texture on my cheeks returns, my skin gets a bit congested and it just doesn’t feel as smooth. It works with any creamy cleanser and I feel like after using it, the rest of my skincare routine works just that little bit better. Obviously they’re a bit of an investment but if your skin tends to be a little problematic then it could be an investment worth making. I’ve spoken about five things I didn’t know about the Clarisonic here in the past.

Tangle Teezer Blow-Styling Paddle Brush* –

I used to be the kind of person that washed their hair and then ignored it until it needed washing again – throwing it up in a ponytail or a bun and just generally not making any effort. Blow drying it always seemed like it would be too hard for an amateur like me but this brush changed the game completely. It’s as simple as brushing it through your hair, concentrating the hairdryer on the strand as you brush. It’s meant that I’ve hardly ever had to pull out the straightener to make my hair look presentable and it’s much, much quicker to do. It’s such a simple extra step but it really makes the difference.
