No matter whether I’m throwing together a five minute makeup look or going all out on a full face, under eye concealer is a step that I never miss. So, of course, I love trying out new and exciting releases that are designed to highlight, correct and conceal the darkness under my eyes. It would seem that Becca have nailed down an awesome trifecta for under the eyes and let me tell you, since adding it to my routine I’ve never looked more awake.
Excessive? Definitely. Effective? Yes.
I’ve already gone into details on the full range of colour correctors that Becca have just launched and although Pistachio, the green, is the one that I’ve been reaching for the most, I’ve been surprised by just how well Peach and I get along. The teeniest, tiniest bit patted into the very inner corner of my eye can make all the difference for me. The orange tone, although a little intimidating at first, blends out beautifully and, when covered in concealer, isn’t noticeable at all. It does, however, do an awesome job of correcting the blue tones I get when I’m super sleep deprived. Those of you who struggle to cover their dark circles, don’t be put off by the bright colour – I promise this is worth a try.
It’ll be of no surprise to regular readers that I’m still raving about it. This has overtaken any other under eye brighteners in my collection and essentially, I can’t go a day without it. It’s lightweight but pigmented and the littlest bit makes such a difference. Concealer on it’s own is great and all but I find that this is the step that really takes it up a notch. I do find that I need to take my time to pat it into the skin, it’s very creamy so works best if you make sure to set your under eyes with powder when you’ve finished concealing.
A newer addition to my concealer line-up and although it’s a little thicker than what I’m used to applying under the eyes I find that it blends out just as well. The shade Banana is fairly yellow-toned so I go in with a light hand to make sure it doesn’t look too stark on my skin but I find that it also sort of adds to the brightening effect. Again, because it is so creamy, I find that a dusting of powder after patting everything into place makes sure that creasing doesn’t become a problem. I’ve also been loving this formula for covering spots – the creaminess really helps it to blend and also stops it from caking on the dry patches I sometimes get around blemishes.
All of the complexion bits I’ve tried from Becca have gotten it so right. They really do know how to do perfected, natural looking skin. My favourite thing about whipping out this trio on full face days is that it really stays put. I often find that by the end of the day my concealer isn’t quite looking as flawless as it did when I put it on but lightly layering these three with a dusting of powder to finish and no-one would ever know that I got 4 hours sleep the night before.
