The Lazy, Late Night Skincare Routine

Lazy, Late Night Skincare Routine - Palmers Facial Cleansing Oil, La Roche Posay Serozinc, La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+, Formula 10.0.6 PM Perfector

Although I’m normally all about my before bed skincare routine, surely I’m not the only one that has those lazy, late nights where you prioritise bed over the billions of steps involved. I’ve been out all day or working all night and just want something that will get the job done in a few minutes flat. So now, for those late nights, I’ve whittled down my routine to the absolute musts. A quick cleanse, a spritz, a treatment and a layer of moisturiser.

Palmers Facial Cleansing Oil –

A quick and effective cleanse is the best bet for this – on nights where I have a little more energy I tend to go for a double cleanse but when it’s way past my bedtime, all I’m worried about is getting my makeup off and leaving my skin feeling fresh and clean. I find oils work well for me when it comes to really breaking down the makeup so it’s one step that I’ll never miss.

La Roche Posay Serozinc –

Although it’s still early days with my can of Serozinc, my skin has been behaving so well since I added this into the rotation – it hydrates and soothes while also doing it’s bit to mattify and refine pores. And the best part? It’s all done with a quick spritz all over the face – quick and no fuss, just what I need.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo –

Of course this tube of magic makes an appearance on TBC yet again. A day doesn’t go by where I don’t put a bit of this on my face so you can bet that even on my laziest days, I still reach for this one. It moisturises, it improves the texture of my skin and it helps keep spots away – it’s definitely a miracle worker.

Formula 10.0.6 P.M Perfector* –

A quick application of moisturiser can make a world of difference to how my skin looks the next morning and this lightweight cream is the perfect finishing step to the routine. It’s simple but effective – exactly what I need to finish off a quick night time routine.

Sounds like you’ve got a really nice routine down pat here. I’m still waiting for serozinc to come to Priceline but when it does I’m going to nab it up so quickly. Do you just spritz it on and leave to dry on its own?

    • Yeah, I just give my skin a quick once over and give it a little bit to sit before going onto the next step in my routine – it doesn’t take too long to sink in, I’ve found

I feel you! While I love my elaborate skincare routine sometimes I’m too dang tired to go through with it! Your routine sounds so simple and easy. I usually cleanse with a cream cleanser, spritz my face with a facial spray (I’m also using Serozinc at the moment) and slap on some Rosehip Oil and done! xx

  • That Palmer oil cleanser looks great! I’ll have to try it when I run out of my current oil cleanser. My late night skincare routine usually involves a makeup wipe, a spray of toner and some moisturiser.
