It’s no secret that when it comes to taking off my makeup at the end of the day, I reach for a cleanser that leans more onto the balm or oil side of things but lately, I’ve been having more and more makeup free days, so the creamier cleansers in my stash (my cleanser collection is getting ridiculously large) have been getting more of a work out.
Creamy cleansers are great for the morning-time cleanse when you don’t need something as heavy duty. On makeup free days I don’t really bother going in with an oil or a balm at night time because I don’t need I also tend to reach for creamier cleansers if I bother to give my skin a second cleanse at night time after removing my makeup.
This one is your classic, thick, creamy cleanser that leaves skin feeling super hydrated after washing it off. It’s unsurprising how much I love it considering it’s actually got rosehip oil (as in the thing that always manages to keep my skin in check) in it too. I can particularly recommend this to those with sensitive skin as it always leaves my skin feeling super happy.
I mentioned this one in my October Favourites but it’s still been a favourite for the past month, too. It’s a much thinner consistency than the Rosehip Plus offering but again, the coconut oil in the ingredients means that this one is awesome for people with skin that likes to get a bit red and irritated sometimes. I like to use this one in the morning particularly as it’s just so lightweight.
It’s not often that I actually repurchase cleansers but this one has made the cut. It even made it into my top 10 Priceline skincare picks one time. It’s a milkier consistency and smells really sweet and floral (but not in an overpowering way) but it does a great job of cleaning my skin without making it feel dry or tight afterwards. It’s seriously cheap but I’m always surprised how much I love it whenever I come back to it.
Again, not quite creamy – this one is more of a gel which goes sort of creamy when you work it into the skin. The packaging of this is super annoying, I’ll be honest – the product is too thin and runny for a squeezy bottle so I’ve moved the product into a pump bottle instead and since then it has been love. Normally, cleansers that are a little bit foamy make my skin feel tight and dry but this one is a dream. A particularly good one for those who are a tad more on the oily side…
As you can see, I always keep quite a few cleansers in my rotation – unlike most skincare things, I don’t mind mixing it up each night with cleansers. I have one (or two, or three) for every need.
What’s your favourite creamy cleanser?
