A Haircare Update

A Haircare Update - Fudge Dynamite Treatment, Charles Worthington All Over Gloss Spray, Bumble and Bumble Hairdesser's Primer, L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil, Tangle Teezer Blow Drying Paddle BrushAfter all of those makeup posts, I thought it was about time I switched it up and talked about something completely different… Although it wasn’t too long ago that I mentioned my haircare routine, one newer addition and the rediscovery of some old favourites have been making a world of difference.

Also, thanks to all that entered my ABH giveaway – the lucky winner is Kenzie Daubert, from JustABlush! Congratulations!

Fudge Dynamite Treatment* –

love a good in shower treatment, my shampoo & conditioner routine doesn’t feel complete without something sandwiched in-between to add a bit more moisture into my thick, frizzy hair. From the very first time I tried this treatment, I knew it was love. It has a super creamy consistency and after combing it through my ends and leaving it for a few minutes I’m left with crazy hydrated hair. So many of the in shower treatments I’ve tried have just wasted time without making any difference but this one is actually worth the extra step.

Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer –

I bought this multi-tasking primer/treatment/heat protectant ages ago and then it sat in my drawer forgotten about, I pulled it out the other day and gave it a go and since then I haven’t looked back. I spray a little of this all over damp hair before going in with the blow dryer and I can actually see the difference when I don’t use it. It smoothes my hair, which I think is my favourite part, while still working to protect it from the heat and it also adds a bit of shine. It’s pricy, but I’m glad I bothered to pick it up.

Tangle Teezer Blow-Styling Paddle Brush* –

I mentioned this one in my last haircare roundup but I don’t think I really drove home how life changing this product has been for me. Before this product, I hated blow drying my hair – it always ended up with my hair looking frizzy and messy. It took me a while to get the hang of it but using this paddle brush while blow drying has meant that I haven’t straightened my hair in months. Just taking a bit of extra time to section off the hair and properly blow dry it has meant that it’s straight and smooth without having to heat up the straightener. If you struggle with blowdrying like I did, it’s time to invest.

Charles Worthington Shine Booster All Over Gloss Spray* –

Moving onto the final touches, my hair is sometimes a little lacking in the shine department so I like to give it a little something extra after blow drying so it’s looking nice and healthy. A few spritzes of this and a quick comb through is just what I was looking for. It totally helps that it smells delicious, too.

L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil –

When it comes to haircare I normally cycle through products pretty regularly, trying out a bunch of different things, but this one has been repurchased a few times now (there are posts from 2013 on here with me singing it’s praises). Nothing makes my hair feel more nourished than a pump or two of this through the ends of my hair. I particularly reach for this one if I’ve put my hair through hell recently with blow drying and straightening or just in between shampoo-ing days to add a bit of life back to my hair. My incredibly thick hair seems to love the original formula but there’s a light weight oil in the range too for those with thinner hair.

I’m not normally one to get excited over haircare but these wonder products have been making life so much easier.

I’m currently using the L’oreal extraordinary oil as well (albeit for coloured hair because the one for normal hair was sold out) and I’m in love with it! CherriesSballet

Tangle Teezer Blow-styling Brush looks awesome,.. i need to get my hands on it,.. because I too dont like blow drying my hair 🙂

  • I think it’s primary role is meant to be taming hair and making it agree more with heat styling but I find it also helps with shine!
