NARS is easily one of my favourite all-rounder brands. If you follow me on Instagram, it’s rare that a picture will be posted without at least one NARS thing in it and their gorgeous monochrome packaging fills my draws. Since I last did a stocktake here about my NARS collection it has basically tripled so it’s about time for an update.
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser in Terre-Neuve – This thin and comfortable TM has remained a favourite since I picked it up. It does a great job of making me look glowy but I do have to set it if I don’t want to end up just look oily by the end of the day. It doesn’t have the best lasting power on my skin but it is still an awesome one for minimal makeup days.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly & Vanilla – I love this stuff so much that I even have two shades. I use Chantilly for under the eyes to subtly highlight and Vanilla on spots as it matches my skintone perfectly but I’ve devoted a whole post to that routine, if you’re interested. The trick with these is to take your time blending in with your fingers as the product works better that way. Light, creamy and super pigmented.
NARS Blush in Orgasm, Deep Throat, Day Dream & Douceur – Blushes are probably what NARS are most famous for, I think, partly due to their risque names but mostly because they’re a seriously awesome formula. Orgasm is a peachy, golden pink, Deep Throat is a slightly more pared down, sheerer version of the same shade, Day Dream was an LE pinky-coral and Douceur (now discontinued, I think) is a warm neutral mauve. Deep Throat is my favourite of the bunch.
NARS The NARSissist Cheek Kit (Devotee, Orgasm, Laguna) – This was an LE kit that I picked up last year and I’m so glad that I did – this was all I took with me overseas for cheeks because it got the job done every single day. It’s an awesome little kit that was mostly just an excuse for me to try Laguna…
NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base – I’ve gone through an entire tube of this stuff because it’s been my go-to eye primer for over a year now. It’s no-fuss and gets the job done – what more can you want from an eye primer?
NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Kalahari & St-Paul-De-Vence – NARS brings it with their eyeshadow formulations too. The Kalahari duo is one of my favourite bronzy-browny eye combinations of all time and the St-Paul-De-Vence duo (this was LE I think) comes out when I feel like throwing a bit of peach into my eye look. Both duos have amazing pigmentation and wear so well.
NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in Dione & Himalia – These wet-dry shadows blew me away even more than the original eyeshadow formula. These are SO smooth and pigmented and beautiful. Dione, a champagne-y taupe, barely survived it when my room got a bit flooded but I managed to salvage it. Himalia, a bronze-y rose gold, has been getting a lot of use since I picked it up recently, too.
NARS Laser Cut Eye, Cheek & Lip Palette (Hardwired Eyeshadow, Dolce Vita Lip Gloss, Day Dream Blush, Laguna Bronzer) – A beautifully organised set from last years Christmas release. The shadows are all great but the middle gold shade stole my heart. The lip gloss that comes in the set is also a beautiful shade and this gave me another excuse to try out Laguna.
NARS Lipstick in Niagara – My first foray into the NARS lip range and a seriously good one. I still reach for this sheer, peachy coral quite a lot. These feel more comfortable on the lips to the Audacious lipsticks, I find but they’re also a lot thinner.
NARS Audacious Lipstick in Natalie – This bright pink-coral called my name as soon as I saw the Audacious lineup. The formula of these is super creamy and long lasting. They do tend to pick up on any dry skin on the lips so I make sure I prep well beforehand.
NARS Lip Gloss in Salamanca, Mezmer, Orgasm & Dolce Vita – I LOVE the NARS lip gloss formula and constantly reach for these two beauties whenever I want something a little colourful but also glossy. They’re non-sticky and last really, really well.
NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Luxembourg, Yu, Descanso, Torres Del Paine & Rikugien – Now the lip pencils are when I really start to fall in love with the NARS lip range. The Satin Lip Pencils are just the right amount of gloss and staying power. They wear so well on the lips and the colours are all SO beautiful.
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl, Cruella, Iberico & Mysterious Red – I mentioned when I wrote my old NARS collection post that I had my eye on a few of these, now I have four, and still have my eye on some others in the range. This matte formulation is SO comfortable and all of the shades are so perfectly pigmented. I’d happily collect the whole range of NARS lip pencils.
Some of the lip pencils came from the NARS True NARS Lip Pencil Set which is available at the moment. It had the shades Yu, Luxembourg & Mysterious Red (that one was exclusive to the set).
L to R: Audacious Lipstick in Natalie, Lipstick in Niagara, Lip Gloss in Orgasm, Dolce Vita, Mezmer, Salamanca, Lip Pencil in Torres Del Paine, Descanso, Rikugien, Iberico, Yu, Luxembourg, Dragon Girl, Cruella, Mysterious Red.
As you can see, I’m well and truly a NARsissist. I still have a huge list of things I want to check out from the brand because I’ve yet to be let down by a product from their range.
What’s on the top of your NARS wishlist? What do you recommend from the brand?
