Two NARS Radiant Creamy Concealers?

Two NARS Creamy Concealers? I’ve spoken about the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealers before and mentioned my love for them but my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer has been taking center stage for the last few months. Recently, however, I’ve been pulling out the NARS Creamy Concealer, in two shades in fact, and have been really loving the results.

When I first purchased the concealer, I picked up the shade Vanilla, described by NARS as a tiny cast of pink for fair complexions, and I’ve mentioned before that I’m a fan of the super creamy formula but I wanted more. Even though I’m not normally one to buy more than one shade in foundation or concealer (I’m very lazy, if things don’t match me I give up pretty quickly!) I felt the necessity to pick up Chantilly, the true ivory shade for fair complexions, a while back in a Sephora order. And I’m glad that I did.

Two NARS Creamy Concealers? Left, Chantilly – Right, Vanilla

My new routine has involved me picking up both Vanilla and Chantilly and using them both for separate reasons. You can see in the swatches below that there’s quite a bit shade difference between the two. I use Chantilly under the eyes for highlighting and covering my dark circles and Vanilla for covering blemishes – and it’s been working really well. Chantilly is a little bit lighter than my skintone but when I blend it in a triangle shape from my under eyes it covers well but also gives a bit of that Kim Kardashian-esque contouring and highlighting vibe without really trying.

The Real Techniques Setting Brush has been getting a lot of attention for this step in my routine, being the perfect shape for quick and simple blending under the eyes. I always make sure to set my under eyes when I’m using the Creamy Concealer as it’s quite a bit thicker than MAC Pro Longwear and has a tendency to crease if you’re not super careful and spend a bit of time blending it in.

Once I’m looking a little more awake and a little less like a zombie I go in with Vanilla on any blemishes and blend it out going over it, again with the RT Setting Brush before patting it in with my fingers to make sure everything’s seamless.

I’m actually away for the weekend at the moment and, due to taking these photos, forgot to pack these concealers, actually any concealer at all, and I’m definitely missing my two step routine.  It’s a little bit more effort but the results are definitely worth it, in my opinion.

  • Love this concealer! I only have one shade for face/blemishes haha 😛 I don’t really do undereye concealing since I don’t really have dark circles (thank gawd), but I feel like my face could use the highlighting!

    • You lucky thing! Highlighting definitely can make a difference to the face but if you’re don’t need as much coverage then there’s definitely less heavy options, I’d say.

i own these 2 shades as well.. i can use chantilly under my eyes and most of the time mix the two for my blemishes. love it.

  • I own two of these too! Custard for my eye bags, and Ginger for blemishes/concealing redness. It’s my fave! xx
