3 Blushes Of The Moment

3 Blushes Of The Moment - The Balm Instain Argyle Blush, Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Lovely Pink & Physicians Formula Argan Wear in Rose

We all know I have a bit of a thing for blush and lately I’ve been really enjoying switching it up and exploring the shades in my collection. I suck at talking about blushes (it makes my cheeks look nice?) but here are three relatively new ones to my stash that I’ve been loving lately.

The Balm Instain blush in Argyle came to me in my recent RY.com.au haul and I’ve been seriously loving the straight up matte pink and the longevity of it. I’ve been reaching for it a stack because it goes with everything and blends out really naturally on the cheek to the stage where I’m just looking naturally flushed. The longevity claims of these blushes are seriously legit, by far my longest wearing blushes.

My recent Priceline haul was the perfect opportunity to pick up the new Max Factor Creme Puff blushes, I got the shade Lovely Pink, and even though the name of the product confuses me a little (where is the creme? this is a straight up baked blush…) I’ve been really loving the look to my cheeks. It’s a subtle peachy-pink colour with shimmer in it that makes me look dewy but not like a disco ball. Not super long lasting and takes a bit of building but definitely one to check out when Max Factor is on sale.

The Physicians Formula Argan Wear Blush in Rose came to me all the way from America, thanks to a swap I did recently, and it’s honestly the prettiest blush I own (I’ve inserted a macro below from when it was still untouched and beautiful). Once I got past the kind of pesky gold glitter overspray I was left with a a compact with three slightly differing pinks – I swirl my brush around and am very impressed with the pink, almost mauve-y colour, with a bit of a gleam to it. The packaging is bulky (it has a brush hidden underneath) which means it won’t be my first pick for travel but it’s a good’un, for sure.

I’m a bit of a blush fiend. It’s the one thing I have so many favourites. I love the Jouer tint in Petal (cream blush), Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush in Flush, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light (powder, but I use it as a blush), Clinique Peach Pop…. Benefit Dandelion… LOL I could go on!

    • Ash

They’re all blushes I’m so keen on trying, especially the Daniel Sandler, but I just never get around to purchasing!

I got it when it was 20% student discount on Asos I think. I can’t actually remember and I do really recommend it, fluid blush is a very interesting concept and good for a natural flush

Oooh, good idea! I must keep an eye out for those discount. I’m a little intimidated by liquid blushes but it sounds like the Daniel Sandler one might be a good place to start! 🙂

Yeah, I feel the same way! There are some gorgeous shades that haven’t been in released in Australia that I totally want 🙂

  • I love the embossings Physicians Formula put on their powders – so pretty! However, I hate the overspray. What’s the point of that! I love the Instain blushes – agreed, most long lasting blush I own!

I’ve never understood the point of it – I tried to just flick it off when I first used it, whoops! And definitely want to pick up more shades in the Instain formula! 🙂

  • THAT PF BLUSH. Hope it gets to our shores soon coz I wanna have a play!

Hopefully! You can get it from iherb if you’re desperate though 😉 It’s goooorgeous!

  • theBalm’s Instain blushes are superb! The Max Factor Creme Puff blushes are next on my list to try, I’d love to see how they compare to the Hourglass blushes. Lately I’ve been rotating Becca Sweetpea, MAC Warm Soul and theBalm Frat Boy. Three staples in my opinion!
