Quick Swatch // Coastal Scents Hot Pots

DS3_8054aIt was a while ago now that I placed another Coastal Scents order to bring my total number of their Hot Pots to 27 – there’s something about constructing your own palette that makes me so happy. I posted another quick swatch a while ago of my existing collection of Coastal Scents Hot Pots but thought it was time for an updated post in honour of these cheap but great quality (for the majority) eyeshadows.

If you’re wondering why there’s 27 and not 28 it’s because I’m a genius and order two of the same colour over two separate orders – let’s just say I get excited and just click add to cart a whole bunch of times until it’s time to hand over my credit card information. Let’s get onto the swatches & shade descriptions, courtesy of Coastal Scents.

Light Taupe – ‘deep exotic, taupe hue with a matte finish’

Coconut Husk – ‘soft, muted brown with a matte finish’ (wasn’t a big fan of the pigmentation on this one)
Barista – ‘warm, brown hue with smooth matte finish’
Harvest Brown – ‘rich brown hue with a hint of orange and a matte finish’ (this was another one with iffy application)
Timeless Taupe – ‘antique brownish-grey with a matte finish’

Caramelized – ‘rich bronzed hue with a shimmer finish’ (another favourite)
Copper Pot – ‘luxurious shimmering gold hue’
Light Bronze – ‘warm shimmery bronze hue’
Golden Sienna – ‘warm sienna hue with gold sparks and a shimmery finish’
Medieval Gold – ‘metallic gold hue with a shimmer finish’ (Light Bronze, Golden Sienna and this one are virtually identical… whoops!)

Deep Cider – ‘rich brown hue with golden sparks and a shimmery finish’
Miami Spice – ‘sheer tan hue with shimmering blue sparks’ (both Deep Cider and Miami Spice look really pretty in the pan due to their coloured glitter but it doesn’t translate very well to swatches)
Seaside Bronze – ‘dazzling golden-bronze hue with a shimmer finish’
Jewel Teal – ‘touch of greenish blue for a sophisticated, shimmery finish’
Caribbean – ‘crisp, vivid blue shade with a shimmer finish’ (someone invite me to a fancy dress party so I can wear this all over the lid – it is GORGEOUS)
Indigo Dream – ‘intense navy hue with gleaming silver sparks’
Edgy Eggplant – ‘vivid blueish-purple hue with a matte finish’ (not very pigmented or smooth formula on this one)

A very quick swatch there, for you all – I hope I’ve whet your appetite a little for Coastal Scents – they are seriously so great for the money and I love pulling out this palette and playing!
