I’ve never been a fully fledged MAC girl but recently they’ve been popping up again and again on my wishlists and in my bank statements, whoops. I posted about my half full MAC duo case a while back now when Mulch was still fresh and new but since then, just as I guessed at the end of that post, All That Glitters came home with me and this duo has been getting quite a bit of use. It’s a quick and easy combo for mornings when I’m in a rush and it looks pretty damn good, if I do say so myself.
All That Glitters is described by MAC as a mid-tone beige with gold reflects. I’d described it more as a pinky-champagne colour in the pan but on my lids it translates to a warm rose gold kind of colour – warming up a bit on my complexion. Mulch, on the other hand, is said to be an intense reddish brown flecked with golden bronze shimmer. With All That Glitters packed all over the lid and Mulch blended into the crease everything’s looking warm toned and lovely. We know I love my bronze toned eyeshadows but this lighter gold look makes everything a little less intense compared to my darker bronze eye look that I normally go for but still nice and warm toned. Both shadows have a lovely texture with Mulch being a tiny bit stiffer, perhaps, and they both last well all day long with a primer.
Woodwinked, Sable and Wedge are next on my to-be-purchased list but I have an entire 12 pan palette sitting there just waiting to be filled but I’m trying to restrain myself – the price of MAC eyeshadows in Australia is pretty steep and it’s not like there’s a shortage of eyeshadow around these parts!
Nevertheless, comment your favourite MAC (or any brand) eyeshadow below!
