9 times out of 10 you’ll catch me sporting a bronze eye. It’s just what I gravitate towards most days because it’s easy, looks nice with my blue eyes and well… as you’ll see in this post I’ve got the products to do it! After mentioning one of my new found bronze eye loves yesterday I thought it was time I rounded up a whole bunch of my most-reached-fors when it comes to my eyes each morning. (sorry the pics are a bit off, too – the lighting was just not being my friend!)
Estée Lauder Pure Color Stay On Shadow Paint in 01 Chained – This is the one I mentioned yesterday and it’s a fool-proof little product if you’re after the perfect warm-toned bronze look. The formula is incredible but does set rather fast so you have to work quickly to get it onto the lids. It works well on it’s own or as a base for another colour and wears well for the whole day.
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad To The Bronze – I’ve mentioned this one many times before because it’s been a staple in my makeup draws for many years now – this one has a serious dent in it. The colour is more neutral compared to the Estée Lauder one and I honestly believe this would suit anyone. It’s the perfect product for bronze eye beginners and works wonderfully as a base colour, too.
Too Faced Natural Eyes palette – More specifically, the middle shade – Push Up. It’s a super unique rosy bronze that I always gravitate towards when I’m having a play with this palette. It looks gorgeous all over the lid, I’ve found with a bit of a highlight in the inner corner.
NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Kalahari – I’m such a huge fan of this duo. It’s not quite a straight up bronze but the first shade in particular, although described by NARS as ‘gold confection’, definitely gives off a bronze-y vibe to me. This duo is perfect for travel as I love both of the shades and they work perfectly together on mornings where I need something that’s going to work flawlessly while also still looking nice and natural.
Coastal Scents Hot Pots in the shades Light Bronze, Chai Spice & Golden Sienna – These three shades are definitely my most used from my Coastal Scents palette so far. For the price, the quality of these shadows are seriously astounding and these three colours all work so well for my classic shimmery bronze eye. Every time I pull out the palette it’s eenie-meenie-minie-mo to choose between the three of them but Chai Spice is definitely the darkest and most intense one that I normally leave for night time.
Rimmel Scandal’eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Bronze – When I want a bit of liner to make everything look a little smokier this is without a doubt my pick. As swatches suggest, it’s much darker than the other colours so I only need the tiniest bit in the outer line of the eye and on my waterline to make everything look so much, dare I say it, sexier.
Estée Lauder 01 Chained, Maybelline Bad To The Bronze, Too Faced Push Up, NARS Kalahari Duo, Coastal Scents Light Bronze, Chai Spice & Golden Sienna, Rimmel Bronze.
Would love to hear your favourite bronze eyeshadow in the comments below, I’m always looking to add more to the family!
